On the evening of August 27, two stories involving Sun Yuchen were pushed into public view almost at the same time.

On one side was a property dispute of more than RMB 30 million that had entered the judicial process.

On the other was a long post titled “My Girlfriend Jing Tian.”

The first matter should have unfolded in court.

The second put an intensely private relationship onto the phones of almost everyone.

More dramatically, after recounting many specific details, the post ended with the line, “This article is entirely fictional.” Jing Tian’s studio then said everything would be handled through legal procedures. On August 29, Sun Yuchen said, “This ends with me,” and said he had not meant to disturb Ms. Jing.

Taken only as entertainment news, this was a sufficiently dramatic dispute between former partners.

But when Sun Yuchen’s life over the past decade and more is viewed as a whole, something more worth studying appears:

His career, wealth, rules, public attention and private relationships rarely seem to proceed quietly in separate lanes.

At many key moments, several strands are suddenly pushed into the spotlight together.

Why?

And is 2026 a particularly important point in time?

First, the most important boundary

The legal facts that can currently be confirmed are not complicated:

Sun Yuchen’s side has filed a civil lawsuit against Jing Tian and her parents over a property dispute involving more than RMB 30 million. The case has been accepted, and Jing Tian’s side has raised an objection to jurisdiction. Public reports available through September still say the case has not entered a substantive hearing and that there is no final judgment.

Whether this money is legally a “betrothal gift,” an ordinary gift or something else, and the specific accounts of romance, money and other private arrangements in Sun Yuchen’s long post, cannot become facts confirmed by a court simply because they are described in detail.

So this article does not decide:

Who is lying.

Who loved whom more.

Who owes whom.

Nor will it use a Bazi chart to declare that someone is “inherently unfaithful” or “destined for a lawsuit.”

We are examining only one thing:

Why would this point in 2026 bring Sun Yuchen’s “money, rules, relationships and public expression” into collision so densely?

Sun Yuchen’s working chart: what stands out is not a “romance star”

Public sources commonly record Sun Yuchen’s birth date as July 30, 1990. Since there is no sufficiently reliable birth time, this reading does not supply an hour or invent a fourth pillar.

By solar terms, the first three pillars are:

Geng Wu year | Gui Wei month | Bing Shen day

His day master is Bing Fire.

The first thing worth noticing in this chart is not “romance.”

It is how close three things sit to one another.

Bing Fire sits on Shen.

Geng is exposed in the year stem, and Gui in the month stem.

For Bing Fire, Geng is Indirect Wealth and Gui is Direct Officer. The Shen branch beneath the day also contains Geng, Ren and Wu—wealth, Seven Killings and Eating God all occupy the day branch.

In plain language:

Resources, money, rules, competition, personal expression and relationship questions are not separate rooms in this chart.

They can easily affect one another.

This is where quick-and-cheap astrology often goes wrong.

In traditional readings of a man’s chart, the Wealth star may also be considered in relation to romance. But that does not mean:

“Wealth means women.”

And it certainly does not mean:

“More Wealth means more women.”

Equating one star with one real-world outcome is exactly the kind of reading we have been trying to avoid.

What is actually interesting is this: his Wealth star is not isolated in a corner; it sits close to the day branch, Officer and Killing stars, and the structure of expression.

The same underlying configuration can therefore appear in very different forms in real life.

It may appear as a business transaction.

It may appear as an acquisition.

It may appear as friction between capital and regulators.

In some years, it may also make money, rules and the boundaries of rights in a private relationship especially important.

The chart does not require him to choose one particular form.

What a person does determines what that structure becomes.

Why is Sun Yuchen’s career hard to understand as “quietly making money”?

In 2017, Sun Yuchen founded TRON. His business footprint later extended to BitTorrent, trading platforms and other crypto-asset businesses. At the same time, he maintained an unusually high public profile.

In 2024, he even paid US$6.24 million for Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan’s conceptual work *Comedian*—the famous “banana taped to a wall”—and then publicly ate the banana. Sotheby’s records the sale price as US$6,240,000.

You may like that move or dislike it completely.

But one thing is clear from the career model:

Sun Yuchen does not only manage assets; he is also exceptionally skilled at managing attention.

There is an interesting correspondence here with the chart structure.

Bing Fire itself is not code for “likes publicity.”

Any claim that “Bing Fire = high-profile” is too crude.

But in this chart, self-expression, wealth, rules and the allocation of resources sit close together.

So after Sun Yuchen had already built a successful path in which “attention itself is a business asset,” when a new conflict arises, the tools most familiar to him may still be:

Speaking publicly.

Creating a topic.

Rapidly turning a private issue into a public event.

Pay attention to the causal order.

Bazi did not force him to publish that long post.

Rather, the chart offers a set of structures that may be activated repeatedly, while real-world success reinforces a particular choice.

That is what makes metaphysics worth examining.

Did his career have setbacks? Yes—and the tone changed after 2023

If we follow the traditional forward progression for a male born in a Yang year, while allowing for a small margin of error because his birth time is unknown, Sun Yuchen appears to have moved from the Bing Xu Luck Pillar into the Ding Hai Luck Pillar around 2023.

That shift is worth watching.

The previous decade covered an important period: from his startup phase and TRON’s rise to the expansion of his personal influence.

The themes brought by Ding and Hai in the new Luck Pillar are not quite the same.

For Bing Fire, Ding is Rob Wealth. Hai contains Ren and Jia, associated with Seven Killings and Resource.

In plain language, this does not mean:

“From now on, his luck turns bad.”

It is closer to this:

Competition, redistribution of interests, pressure from rules, external constraints, and how to protect oneself within a larger system begin to matter more than before.

The real-world timeline is interesting too.

In 2023, the U.S. SEC brought a civil case against Sun Yuchen and related entities.

In March 2026, that case reached a final resolution: the court ordered Rainberry to pay a US$10 million civil penalty. At the same time, the resolution proposal previously filed by the SEC expressly withdrew the remaining claims against Rainberry and dismissed with prejudice the related claims against Sun Yuchen, the Tron Foundation and the BitTorrent Foundation.

So we must not turn this into:

“Sun Yuchen was fined US$10 million.”

And we certainly must not write:

“Sun Yuchen was convicted of a crime.”

What is worth watching is that, from this stage onward, the costs of rules, compliance and external constraints facing him and his business system are becoming harder to treat as secondary concerns.

A few months later came this civil property dispute involving Jing Tian.

If I had to give the decade after 2023 one accurate description, I would not write:

“His career is starting to decline.”

I would write:

His business still has the ability to generate wealth and attention, but attention is becoming less and less free.

The greater the exposure, the higher the cost of rules.

The larger the transactions, the higher the cost of compliance.

The broader the private expression, the higher the cost to reputation and legal boundaries.

That is more accurate than simply saying “good luck” or “bad luck.”

Then, in August 2026, a striking timing overlap appeared

Sun Yuchen’s birth day was:

Bing Shen day.

When the events became concentrated on August 27, 2026, the date was:

Bing Wu year | Bing Shen month | Gui You day.

Anyone familiar with a little Bazi might pause here.

His natal day pillar is:

Bing Shen.

And this month was also:

Bing Shen.

In other words, the month pillar repeated his natal day pillar in full.

Later Bazi traditions commonly call this kind of repeated pillar Fu Yin.

Traditional systems do use the concepts of Fu Yin and Fan Yin, but the classics do not say that Fu Yin must mean divorce or a lawsuit.

Translating Fu Yin directly into disaster is one of the easiest forms of fast-food astrology.

A more reasonable interpretation is:

A position that already exists is being emphasized again.

In traditional Bazi, the day pillar is associated with the self and is also often considered in relation to the Spouse Palace.

So for Sun Yuchen, what matters most about the Bing Shen month is not “a relationship disaster is inevitable.”

It is that:

The questions “Who am I?” and “How do I handle relationships, resources and cooperation?” were pulled unusually strongly back into the foreground that month.

And then the events happened.

More strikingly, August 27 itself was a Gui You day.

For Bing Fire, Gui is Officer, and You contains Xin, Direct Wealth.

So in a month that fully repeated his natal day pillar, a day arrived when Officer and Wealth also surfaced together.

What happened in the real world that day was precisely an event in which:

Money + legal proceedings + private relationships + public expression appeared at the same time.

This does not prove that “Bazi created a lawsuit.”

But as a comparison between timing structure and real events, it is striking.

That is a case worth studying—not “I saw Seven Killings, so there must be a lawsuit.”

The key point: the chart did not write “that long post”

This is what I consider the most valuable part of Sun Yuchen’s case.

In the same Bing Shen month, he could have let his lawyers handle everything.

Then the timing structure might have appeared in real life only as:

A lawsuit.

Negotiations.

A property dispute.

A relationship ending for good.

A contract issue.

But he made another choice.

He put extensive private accounts into public space.

So what might have belonged only to the two parties became a public event.

This is what we keep emphasizing:

The natal chart is not the outcome.

A Luck Pillar is not the outcome.

A year is not the outcome either.

They are more like signals of:

What is more likely to be pushed onto the table now.

What ultimately determines how far things escalate is the method someone chooses within that window.

So perhaps the real question this time is not:

“Was Sun Yuchen destined to suffer this calamity?”

It is:

After repeatedly gaining from amplifying attention, can a person tell when attention is an asset—and when it has started to become a cost?

That is the biggest career question of this stage for him.

So what may happen next in Sun Yuchen’s career?

I would not write “Sun Yuchen is finished” because of this one controversy.

That would fit neither Bazi nor reality.

His business system, capital capacity and public influence do not automatically disappear because of a civil dispute.

What truly needs continued attention is the cost structure under the Ding Hai Luck Pillar.

After 2026, he may still create major events, close deals and expand his business footprint. Compared with earlier years, however, rules, regulation, partnerships, reputation and private boundaries will be harder to treat as secondary concerns.

Especially in 2028, Wu Shen, Shen returns to the position of his natal day branch.

This does not have to be a relationship event.

It could also bring a partnership, resources, capital, identity or an important business relationship back into the foreground.

What determines the height of Sun Yuchen’s career over the next few years may not be whether he can create even more attention.

There is probably little doubt about that answer.

The real question is:

Can his influence grow faster than the costs that influence creates?

If so, his career may continue to expand.

If not, the ability that served him best in the past may become the most expensive one in the next stage.

That is how the same chart can have different answers under different Luck Pillars.

For people facing their own “major event”

People often need metaphysics most when life is not calm.

But when one day:

Relationships, money, career, family, law and decisions all seem to press in at once.

You may wonder:

“Why did it all have to happen now?”

What Bazi can truly help you see is not “Will I have bad luck?”

It is:

Why these things have entered the foreground together at this stage; which is a long-term theme of the decade and which is only this year’s trigger; what is a timing condition you cannot control, and what is still your own choice.

If you have one specific question about what is in front of you, you can bring it to One Question.

If you find that similar patterns around career, money and relationships have repeated in different years, what is worth examining is the complete Destiny Blueprint—the natal chart, Luck Pillars and annual timing together, so you can see not one isolated event but a map of your life over time.

A chart never tells you that you must do one particular thing.

Its real value is that, before something grows too large, it can help you see:

Which strand of your life is being amplified right now.
